Booking a visit to the Archive

The Archive is open Monday to Friday, 10:00am-5:00pm and we are taking bookings for research visits.

Bookings are available in 2-hour slots:

Monday to Friday, 10:00am-12:00pm and 2:00pm-4:00pm 

You should make your booking at least 24 hours in advance and you should pre-order the items that you want to view at the time of booking. You can search both the online catalogue Knowsley Archives Catalogue and the analogue catalogue Archive Catalogue with Calm Links for the required item references. Bookings can be made by telephone on 0151 443 4291, via our social media platforms or email the Team on  infoheritage@knowsley.gov.uk

On arrival, you will see that we have made hand sanitiser available for use: please feel free to use the sanitiser provided, as certain types of sanitisers can cause damage to archive materials.
